Inattentive staff, shabby premises, all at high prices
There were several issues: 1) Gold status doesn't appear to matter, ie no room upgrade; to the contrary, I was effectively downgraded from the King bed I reserved to a double bed. 2) Pre check in request was ignored, ie I requested a high floor and was put on the lowest possible. 3) Rooms were shabby, old, and in extreme need of repairs and updating. 4) The hallways were damp and smelled of mold and mildew. 5) Zero dining options, not even complimentary coffee that you find in most hotels. 6) Staff were pleasant enough, but could care less about issues mentioned above - not once was I asked about my stay nor was any attempt made to correct the many problems I noted. One plus is a decent location on Herald Square; another was the rooftop bar with a great view of the Empire State Building - but it has no connection to the hotel (can't charge your room) and is often closed for private events. For the price charged for rooms here, there are much better options nearby.

Booking Record Issue - Staff's Honesty
Why the staff is asking customer to provide the Booking Record to proof that they have booked the room with breakfast and metro passes?
Why the breakfast is not provided, and there is no compensation to customer at all? A cup of coffee? We can get a coffee in breakfast already. Now, you are provided less to us, and claim that is compensation?
