Good and Bad
Bad-Elevator congestion at peak hours and area around the hotel a bit dicey. Good breakfast, newer hotel, close to shopping Time Square, subways and restaurants.

Close to Penn Station
Arriving by Amtrak, we walked three blocks to the Fairfield Inn. The next day, access to the subway is also provided at Penn Station. Great location, wonderful staff and the hotel had everything I needed.

Wonderful Vacation Spot
Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and went above and beyond. All employees were very personable and approachable. There were quite a few visitors during our stay, but it never felt overcrowded and the employees kept the flow of things moving smoothly. I've seen negative reviews about the elevators, but we never had a poor experience with them. I feel it goes without saying, that the elevators may take a bit with so many floors? The hotel felt very secure. There were multiple guards and employees monitoring everything and you could not access your floor without the key, which makes things feel more secure. The rooms were very clean and up to date. Our view was alright, but we still had a nice view of the skyline. The location was great and walkable to most everything. We were near most tourist locations, shopping, dining, Times Square, etc. It was wonderful to explore the city around the hotel's location. We went as a family, and had a great experience. The breakfast staff were so fun and handed out cute little cups, crayons, toys. My daughter LOVED it! The lobby was very welcoming and comfortable to just relax and the bar was right next to the lobby. It was a classy feeling. The rooms were perfect size, for the amount of time we spent in them, very minimal, but no complaints in that aspect at all! The only complaint I might have had was the room itself seemed very muggy and never got that cool. We turned the thermostat down to 65 (couldn't go any lower) and it didn't seem to cool off well.

Nice stay @ Fairfield inn & suite New York Manhattan Times Square
We stay for 1+3 days at Fairfield inn and we got very nice experience during we stay there, the location is very good, near everything we want to go, just walk every where to the atraction or by hop on hop off bus, the hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, very nice breakfast, but the room is rather small for us as we are 4 person in 1 room ( double queen bed )

Not honest
Not honest in checkout-bait and switch on type of rooms-beware . No drawers or chests for clothes. Very small room.

They changed our reservation from under us
We reserved and paid for 2 queen beds and when we checked in was surprised to find that they changed the room to a king and a pull out couch. This forced my tall brother in law to sleep on the small pull out which is exactly what I was trying to avoid in the first place. When I raised the issue during check in I was informed we were out of luck and that we would have to take what was offered. After a long day of travel, it wasn’t the answer we were looking for. Despite this, it’s a nice place in a good part of town. I would be very wary about what you actually book with them and maybe call them the day before.
