Great place great stay
Excellent place to stay and I will definitely stay here in the future, I recommend this place to anyone, the drive to all locations is not very far at all and easy to get to

Bad Housekeeping and False Charges
I made reservation for 2 rooms for only 1 night and requested early check-in (2pm). Well, I arrived around 3pm and my rooms were still not ready. My family was starving, so we decided to check in with a credit card and have our room keys ready when we returned from dinner. I received an alert at dinner stating my room was ready, so I knew we could just grab the keys and go straight to the rooms.
When we got back the hotel, the front desk handed me the keys and we drove to the rooms in the middle of the property. We unloaded and got to the rooms, only to find out the keys didn't work, so I had to drive back to the front desk to have my cards re-keyed. The rest of the night was smooth other than the internet issues of connecting to wifi on my phone. The next morning we checked out around 11am and went about our business.
I checked out at the front desk with no charges or issues, but saw 2 charges for $123.75 on both rooms a couple of days later. I thought these were incidental holding charges until it actually posted to my credit card a few days later. I called the hotel to ask what these charges were since I used reward certificates for my stay. The hotel stated that housekeeping found dog hair on the couches in both rooms, so they charged me for a pet deposit???
First of all, I don't own any pets or had any pets in the rooms. Second of all, do you think housekeeping was in a rush to get my room ready when I tried checking in at 3pm and so they missed some things? Probably, since they didn't get any of the service request items I asked for on the mobile app. I don't ever write back on surveys, but this was by far one of the worst stays I've had in a very long time.
I stay at hotels at a minimum over 150 nights a year and this location has really gone downhill. Please fix this property before it ruins the name. Thank you.

the Residence Inn San Diego has been a second home to me. I very RARELY, stay anywhere else when I travel. I am so comfortable there I hate when it is time t check out! all rooms, single bed, double bed, studios, and my favorite 2 bedroom suites are nice ,I have stayed in quite a few of them. this hotel really makes me feel like an Ambassador!!!
